Phase 1: 1. Prepare your virtual environment, you may need to download VirtualBox or VMWare. 2. Create two virtual machines and install ubuntu on both of them. A. TAKE SCREEN SHOT AND SHOW BOTH Operating systems are installed (screen shot must show the IP address of machine) 3. Change the setting so that both machines can ping each other. Search the Internet to know what the network settings for both machines are, so that they can ping each other. B. TAKE SCREEN SHOT AND SHOW BOTH Operating systems can ping each other 4. Both virtual machines should also access the Internet. C. OPEN SOME WEBSITE IN EACH VIRTUAL MACHIEN AND TAKE THE SCREEN SHOTS 5. Ensure your virtual environment is running well, you may provide some screenshots to show the current installation and ability to connect to the Internet. Phase 2: 6. On one Ubuntu machine, install OpenStack via DevStack (stack.sh) 7. Configure DevStack 8. Use your browser to check if your configuration is successful, if you can see the following figure then everything should be OK D. TAKE SCREEN SHOT OF ABOVE WINDOW FROM YOU VIRTUAL MACHINE Phase 3: 1. In the OpenStack, manage the installation, create new projects, and manage users and groups E. TAKE SCREEN SHOT 2. Create two different projects, each project should have a complete network where multiple (at least two) VMs can talk to each other. F. TAKE SCREEN SHOT Phase 4: Please check all option under Network→Security Group and add rules based on different scenarios you prefer to add. Please note that you are free to create as many scenarios as you want. G. SHOW SCREEN SHOT OF SCENARIONS THAT YOU HAVE CREATED
