Mini Database, Web Application, and Data Visualization Project Description: I am seeking a skilled full-stack developer to develop a Proof of Concept (POC) or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a mini web application. The project focuses on setting up a database, building a web application with CRUD functionality, and implementing data visualization components. The application should also include functionality to import data from Excel sheets, parse the data structure, and allow the user to select the desired data to be imported into the database. Notes: - This is a fixed-price task. - The purpose of this task is to select developers for a bigger project. Scope and Milestones: 1.Excel Data Import and Parsing: - Implement a feature to import Excel sheets into the application. - After uploading or importing a sheet, display the sheet title and metadata information. - Parse the first few rows of the sheet to define the headers and data structure. - Present a page displaying the sheet structure and allow the user to select which data structure or columns to import. - Upon user selection, proceed to the next step for data import. 2.Database Setup: - Design a database schema to store curated data from multiple Excel sheets. Utilize different database management systems based on the type of data to be presented (e.g., relational or non -relational databases). - Create tables and define relationships based on the data structure. - Implement scripts or programs to load the transformed data into the database. - Handle data deduplication and integrity checks. 3.Web Application Development: - Develop a web application using modern frameworks and technologies. - Implement CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations for managing data. - Integrate the web application with the database for data retrieval and manipulation. - Implement user authentication and authorization mechanisms. - Ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices. 4.Data Visualization: - Implement a simple user interface for data visualization. - Display data in tabular view with sorting and filtering capabilities. - Integrate basic charts and graphs for visualizing relevant data. - Develop components for displaying person and company profiles. - Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. Deliverables: - Documented database schema and setup scripts. - Web application codebase with CRUD functionality and Excel data import/parsing capabilities. - User interface components for data visualization (tabular view, charts, profiles). - Deployment instructions and documentation. Notes: - No mandatory experience is required as long as the candidate can deliver the task successfully. - Payment will be released after successful delivery and approval of the completed work. - Only open-source technologies and tools should be used for this project. - The candidate is free to suggest the most suitable technology stack, tools, design patterns, and architecture for the task based on their expertise and preferences.
